1. Definition and structural composition of anchor rods
An anchor is a tension member that penetrates deep into the strata. One end is connected to the engineering structure and the other end is deep into the strata. From a structural perspective, there must be several key factors to form an anchor: first, a rod body with a higher tensile strength than a rock and soil body, which is the core part of the anchor body. 2. Working principle of anchor rod
The working principle of the anchor is based on its unique structural design and mechanical characteristics. The entire anchor rod is divided into free section (force transmission section) and anchor section. The function of the free section is to apply prestress on the anchor rod. When the anchor rod is subjected to external force, the free section transmits the tension at the anchor head to the anchor body. The anchoring section is the area where the cement slurry bonds the prestressed tendons to the formation. Its important function is to increase the bonding and friction between the anchor and the formation, increase the pressure bearing capacity of the anchor, and thus transmit the tension from the free section to the depths of the rock mass. In this way, the anchors use prestressing to fix the underground rock mass together to form an integral structure. When the anchor is subjected to tension, the longitudinal tension of the rod body can overcome the disadvantage that the tensile ability of the rock and soil body is far lower than the compressive ability, effectively limiting the deformation and displacement of the rock and soil body. At the same time, the prestressing effect of the anchor can also increase the conjugation and internal friction angle of the rock and soil body. From a mechanical point of view, it mainly improves the conjugation and internal friction angle of the surrounding rock body, greatly strengthening the bearing capacity of the rock and soil body itself, thereby ensuring the stability of the engineering structure.

Mine tunnel support: In underground mines, the stability of the tunnel is related to the life safety of miners and the smooth progress of production operations.
